Trout Lake Nature Center (Eustis)

Those at Trout Lake Nature Center are on a mission to educate and inform people of all ages about not only our environment but on how to protect and preserve the lands, waters and their inhabitants. As a regional educational resource, we hold numerous demonstrations, talks, events, and educational opportunities that will interest all ages.” The original education programs for pre-k through 5th grade were developed by science teachers and are open to all homeschooled children. Specialist programs can also be used by groups such as scouts, 4-H, and Boys and Girls Clubs.

Wild Florida Airboat Tours & Wildlife Park (Kenansville, Florida)

Camp Blanding Museum and Memorial Park (Starke)

“The Museum houses a colorful collection of weapons (U.S. and foreign), a refurbished World War II barracks, houses a colorful collection of weapons, photo exhibits, mannequins in uniform, and other artifacts. These exhibits tell the story of Camp Blanding, the units that were trained there, and the surrounding area during World War II. The Memorial Park is a large military memorabilia exhibition area surrounding a lagoon and containing monuments honoring nine Army Infantry Divisions and the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, all of whom trained at Camp Blanding. Other monuments honor recipients of the Medal of Honor, Purple Heart, and former Prisoners of War. There is also a spacious picnic area.”

Wonderworks has two locations in Florida that would be great for homeschoolers. Both locations (Orlando and Panama City Beach) offer more than 100 interactive and hands-on learning activities for children of all ages. The Orlando location has homeschool days that can be scheduled by groups throughout the months of September and October. The Panama City Beach location's homeschool days run through October 27.

Wycliff Discovery Center (Orlando)

Students can spend the morning learning and connecting with other homeschool students and families. Themed programs offer your family the opportunity to dive in and experience Bible translation firsthand. Students will be grouped by age according to enrollment. All programs are designed for students and their parents. Each program includes hands-on classroom time and a scavenger hunt through our Discovery Center.
